2025 Aikido Experience Day – Organized by The Hong Kong Aikido Association
- Join us for a fun and engaging introduction to Aikido as part of the “Japan Autumn Festival in Hong Kong,” organized annually by the Consulate General of Japan to promote Japanese culture.
- Everyone interested in Japanese culture or Aikido is welcome to join! Details are as follow:
Event Details:
- Date: 02 Nov 2025 (Sun)
- Time: 11:00 am – 12:30 noon
- Venue: Function Room I, 2/F Queen Elizabeth Stadium (Google Map)
- Charge: Free
- Enrollment Deadline: 1 Nov 2025 at 6pm
Target:
- Anyone interested in Japanese culture and Aikido
- Everyone of all ages is welcome to observe
- Participants aged 14 and above but under 18 must have adult consent or be accompanied by an adult to experience Aikido on the mats
Event Schedule:
- 1045 – 1100: Participant registration
- 1100 – 1215: Warm up, Aikido Demo, Aikido Experience (Hands on Workshop)
- 1215 – 1230: Q&A Session

- Dress Code:
- It is recommended to wear long-sleeved T-shirts and long pants to protect your body.
- Please remove watches, rings, earrings, necklaces, and other accessories before practice to avoid injuries during training.
- There are changing rooms available for use in the stadium.

- The Hong Kong Aikido Association (HKAA) reserves the right to modify, suspend, or cancel the event.
- Participants will experience Aikido under the guidance of the instructor. HKAA members will be present to assist participants during the session.
- HKAA instructor will also conduct a demonstration.
Aikido is one of the modern Japanese martial arts that uses unique movements to neutralize an opponent’s attack and enter their blind spots for throwing or controlling them.
Aikido is a martial art that can be practiced by both youth and adults, regardless of gender. It can be started at any time, regardless of body type or physical strength. Currently, there are over 2,000 dojos and organizations in Japan, and it has spread widely to about 140 countries and regions around the world.
