Aikido “Come & Try Session” & Demonstration:

Join us for a fun and engaging introduction to Aikido! Everyone is welcome!  (Participants aged 18 or under should have the consent of an adult or be accompanied by an adult to experience Aikido on the Judo mat.)

Event Details:

• Date: 10 Nov 2024 (Sun)
• Time: 10:30 am – 12:30 noon
• Venue: Function Room I, G/F Queen Elizabeth Stadium
• Dress Code: Sportswear (suggested: long-sleeve top and long trousers), there are changing rooms available for use in the stadium.
• Target:  People who are interested in Aikido
• Charge:  Free

Event Schedule:

• 1015 – 1030: Participant registration
• 1030 – 1045: Welcome speech, introduction to Aikido
• 1045 – 1230: Aikido Demonstration & Experience
• 1230                 Event Ends
• 1300                Lunch at Asiania Restaurant ( 喜萬年酒樓 ), 288 Hennessy Road, Wan Chai at own expense

The Hong Kong Aikido Association reserves the right to modify, suspend, or cancel the event.

• At the beginning of the event, an HKAA instructor will conduct a demonstration.
• Afterward, participants will have the opportunity to experience Aikido under the instructor’s guidance.
• HKAA members who have achieved 2-kyu or higher will accompany the participants during the session to provide assistance.

The types of official membership in our association are as follows:

• Regular Member (18 years old or above)
• Junior Member (14 years old to under 18 years old)

Notes to HKAA Members:

• HKAA members who are interested in providing support are required to arrive at the dojo at 9 am wearing their Dogi, for an internal briefing and Aikido demonstration rehearsal.

The Hong Kong Aikido Association participated Hong Kong Aikido in the “Japan Autumn Festival in Hong Kong” on 12 & 13 Oct 2024 at Victoria Park. The Autumn Festival is organised by the Consulate General of Japan each year to promote Japanese Culture.

We will have a booth in collaboration with The Japan Universities Alumni Society Hong Kong (JUAS).   We will perform an Aikido Demonstration on 13 Oct 2024 15:25 – 15:45 (20 mins).

Following this event, a “Come and Try Session” with an additional Aikido Demonstration will be held at Queen Elizabeth Stadium on 10 Nov 2024 morning.  Members of the public are invited to come and try aikido during this event. We hope this series of promotions will help raise awareness of Aikido and the HKAA.

Members of the public interested in martial arts or Aikido are encouraged to visit our booth and watch the demonstration and to participate in the Come and Try session.
