We offers Aikido training seven days a week, subject to venue availability, at government facilities in Hong Kong.

Join one free Trial Class (Fri, Sat or Sun)
By joining our regular Fri, Sat or Sun classes, you can experience Aikido firsthand. This is the best opportunity to get to knowbefore becoming a member.
Hong Kong residents holding a valid Hong Kong Permanent Identity Card are entitled to one free trial class. Participants aged 14 or above are welcome (applicants aged 14 to 17 must obtain parental or guardian consent beforehand).

- Wear clean, comfortable, loose-fitting athletic clothing.
- Long pants such as track-suit bottoms or leggings are required to protect your knees on the mats during practice.
- A long sleeved T-shirt is recommended.
- Footwear is not allowed on the mat; bring easy-to-slip-on sandals or flip-flops for walking to and from the changing areas.

- You’re welcome to watch any class you’re interested in. Please notify us in advance via WhatsApp or email.
- Arrive a few minutes early, introduce yourself. You can sit on the chair on the end of the mat and feel free to ask the instructor any questions.
- You can decide to sign up for membership then, or take some time to consider and return later.

Safety Guidelines for Aikido Practice

- Avoid clothing with zippers, buttons, or metal snaps.
- Remove watches, rings, earrings, necklaces, and other jewelry before practice.
- Tie back long hair and keep nails trimmed short.
- Bring a water bottle to stay hydrated throughout the session.
- All above preparation steps and clothing guidelines help to ensure the safety and comfort of participants. See you on the mat.

AIKIDO STANDARD UNIFORM FOR BEGINNERS
To take your first class, purchase a white Aikido Dogi (Jacket), pant and a white belt from any physical or online martial martials arts supply store (e.g. KW Sports (Kowloon), IWATA CO. (Tokyo), Seido, Tozando, etc.)
- White Aikido Dogi (Jacket) / Judo Gi (Beginner set is approximately $3XX)
- White Aikido Pant / Judo Pant
- White Belt

- Please complete the membership application form and anti-doping agreement, then send them to our Membership Director via email at membership@aikido.com.hk or mail it to P.O. Box 28404, Gloucester Road Post Office, Wan Chai, Hong Kong.
- The Hong Kong Aikido Association (HKAA) reviews applications regularly. Applicants will be notified of their application status by phone or email. HKAA reserves the right to make the final decision on membership.
- Upon acceptance, please submit (i) Admission Fee, (ii) Annual Fee, and (iii) the first month’s training fee to the instructor. (Payee Name: The Hong Kong Aikido Association Limited)

3. All Members have to pay the Monthly Fee before joining any class in the first month, followed by bank Direct Debit Authorization Form for the following months.
Notes to existing members:
1. Application for Leave of Absence
- If a member is unable to attend practice for entire calendar month, please notify the Association in writing or via email on or before the 20th day of the preceding month.
- E.g. To request leave foe entire month of April, your notification must reach us by 20 March
- Upon timely receipt of your notice, the Association will pause your monthly autopay for the specific month. Please note that retroactive requests cannot be proceed.
2. Monthly Fee Payment & Confirmation
- To facilitate our volunteers’ administrative workload, please follow the arrangements below for monthly fee payments:
- Advance Payment: Please submit the training fee for the following month via the following e-payment methods on or before the 20th of each month.
- Form Submission: After making the payment, please fill out the Training Fee Payment (Monthly) Confirmation Form to register your payment record.

3. Annual Membership Renewal
- Members are responsible for paying their annual membership fees on time to maintain an active membership status.
- Existing members who fail to renew their membership by the deadline and wish to resume training in the future must submit a new application form to rejoin the Association.

- Have you moved, changed your phone number, or update you email address? To ensure you receive important association announcements, grading updates, and event notifications, please keep your contact information up to date.
